Today everybody is running behind beauty. But do you have any idea that there is some myth behind these beauty notions. I’ll show you these myths.
-
The first beauty myth is tweezing of white hair would give you more white hairs.
-
The next myth is that removing the hair with razor would make them grow thick and stiff.
-
Next is the belief that ice when applied to skin makes the skin stoma smaller. This is rubbish. Pores in the skin are a result of genes so nothing can make them smaller.
-
Fourth myth is that toothpaste can cure pimples. To some extent this myth is right as toothpaste has ingredients that can heal a pimple but at the same time it can cause irritation to the skin as well.
-
Some believe that applying beer before going out for a sun tan can make your skin glitter. This is nonsense. In fact one should avoid sun tanning unless you are going to use a self-tanner.
-
The conviction that crossing your legs would cause a disorder of veins called varicose veins is erroneous.
-
And the last myth from my side is that rinsing your feet when exhausted would cause the swelling of veins.
So this was all from my side. I hope the above beauty myths would help you judge better about your beauty. If you feel like, you may also add up to the list in comments.

I really believed a lot of these myths and I thought I was very beauty savvy!!! I currently use toothpaste to cure pimples! I read it in a Seventeen magazine when I was like 12 under an article about models’ beauty secrets!!! Can you believe it!!! I also don’t cross my legs trying to avoid varicose veins! I don’t know how long I’ve been doing that! This article is making me question every little thing I’m doing now!
Great to know…
